Restaurant Suggestions

We love exploring the area and trying new restaurants while we’re in town. Here are some suggestions to try while visiting the Flamingo House.

Crabby Bills is always our first stop! Grab a table outside and listen to some live music. You can walk across the street and catch the sunset on the beach.

Frida’s Café & Bakery makes my mouth water even thinking about it. Awesome spot for breakfast or lunch. Makes a great surprise if you wake up early and go pick up a spread for breakfast.

Doc Ford’s is a great spot if you want to try down to the St Pete Pier. The Pier is a great spot for walking with the family. There is a huge park that the kids can play at. They even have a free tram up and down the Pier if you get tired of walking.

Columbia Restaurant is a unique experience. Their flagship restaurant over in Ybor City has been in business since 1905. Plan ahead and make reservations. We like staying nearby and going to their location in Sand Key Clearwater.

Cristino’s has tasty food and fun gelato flavors for dessert. It’s not too far away in Clearwater.

Spinners is great for a fancy date night with beautiful 360 views of St Pete. Be sure to make your reservations ahead of time.

Super Sardos is a nearby pizza chain. Great choice for an easy night at the house.

If you’re looking for delicious seafood and an awesome ambiance, make a day trip to Lucky Lobster Co in Dunedin. This is a great place to celebrate. They have a beautiful patio and often have live music. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time!

Jupiter Donuts is right around the corner and has many creative donuts to choose from.

Our favorite stop is Tropical Ice Cream right on the corner of Walsingham Road and Gulf Blvd. Get your ice cream and then walk across to the beach to catch the sunset. A perfect end to the day! LINK

Don’t forget dessert!
